Whip the creamy goat cheese with some freshly ground pepper, salt, and a splash of lemon juice to make the cheese softer and to brighten the taste.
Slice the green tomatoes into thick rounds and brush a thin coat of oil to both sides of the slices. Grill the tomato slices at a high heat on the barbecue until charred on both sides.
